Married for Life

This morning as I layed all cuddled up in my nice warm bed.  I rolled over to see what time it was and as I opened my eyes and saw the book Married for Life it has been on my night stand for nearly a year now. Ben and I have enjoy reading a few pages every now and then.  

The first time I saw this book it was on a friends night stand she had told me how her Mother had given it to her as a wedding present.  I of course thumbed through the pages and knew in an instant that it was a book I wanted to read.  Since then I have given a few copies away as wedding presents and my hope is they will enjoy this book as much as I have.

So my thought this morning was to go though pick out some of the highlights to this book that I like.

So here we go.  

1. Never get too old to hold hands.

I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.

You guide me with your counsel,

and afterward you will take me into glory.

2. Do everyting you can to express your love.

Let's not just talk about love; let's practice reall love.

Closing out 2010

     So a little wrap up of 2010. Things got kind of crazy with the Holidays, School, Internship and Final Exams. Life was defiantly in high gear needless to say.  So here are a few photos to end the year with.

The girls were a ton of fun this year and they LOVE My Ben!



So in years past my mom & I have gotten together and made Christmas Cookies with Eve but this year Kyra & Lily joined in on the Fun!

Eve really enjoys taking photos when ever she can get her hands on my camera. I love it, I never really know what I might get but then again, its photos like this one that nearly melt my heart!

My Grammy is now living with my parents and she loves to see all her Great Grand Children & they like to come see her in her room too.

This year my older brother Jeremy & Liz gave Grammy a photo frame with the Girls photos in it.

She was really excited!

Pukin' & Stitches~ Eventful weekend in Grand Haven

The title says it all!

     Another eventful weekend, Ben walked 24 hours for the Relay for Life at Tyden Park Friday - Saturday. The heat was awful, needless to say he spend most of Saturday afternoon sleeping.  Here are a few photo's from the event.

~Sunday ~
 Fishing on the Big Lake ~ Ben and I were very excited about getting the chance to go out salmon fishing, neither one of us had ever been. This time we were going out on Steve's fishing boat. (Chad's Dad)  Like normal I took the Dramamine to help with the motion sickness. In our past trips out on the lake I have learned that this is a must for me.  Ben on the other hand, well he has never gotten sick.... until this trip :) 
No. I wasn't laughing when I typed that either.

After Ben and Jeremy both getting sick and myself thinking I was nearly in the same boat as them.  I soon recovered and I was good to go!

Them on the other hand was a different story.

Well what else is there to say besides, maybe I should have just gotten sick to in order to avoid the trip to the Grand Haven ER. I will say they were really nice and got us in and out rather quick.

~Summer time~

This summer has been a Blast! We have spent quite a bit of time out on the water with friends that have Boats. Ben of course is pondering the idea of owning a boat?!?! Me on the other hand I'm just enjoying the time on the Water.

So the Coolest part is... Drumb roll please~ I got to Wake Board! Talk about toataly Awesome. I have yet to get hurt so fingers crossed. It was tons of fun!

Reflections

So it has been a while since I have blogged... Life has been really busy I'm sure your well aware of, if we are friends on Facebook. So life has went on since my last post. I am Still Alive!

This past weekend while chatting with friends one spoke of my blog, I casually mentioned that I hadn't really kept up on it however I really enjoyed the idea of having one. It's kind of interesting how Facebook, Blogs, and Social networking sites have become a part of our life and how we enjoy browsing them sometimes almost daily. I find it very interesting that someone - anyone would want to read about my life?!?! But who knew.

I have come to the conclusion: I will get back into it and Blog once again. So I'm Back! With the plan of posting highlights of what is going on my my Busy Life.

Fashion Model...

So today I was over watching the kids. It never fails but Eve always has "new clothes" to show me.... Well today she wanted to try them on and wanted her picture taken.. I will admit it I take allot of photos of the twins when I'm there. So I kinda felt like maybe I should take some of her... It was time to put the girls down for a breather/nap. They had been very cranky and needed to Relax. So Eve and I took a few Minutes to gander around outside and take a few photos. While listening to a baby monitor of kids crying... Fun Fun! :)

I think she likes to pick things and this flower she wanted. We had to take it back in the house and put it in a cup of water!

Then we took a few photos on the back deck and of course we had to go out to her swing set!

It was allot of fun and she really enjoyed putting on the dresses! We will see what Friday holds this kid has a ton more of new clothes!
